A common misperception that people have, that have been accused of sexual assault of a child is they think that there is no hope. Our experience has been once an accusation has been made by a child, it is very difficult to bring that prosecution to a halt, but it certainly can be done. Over the last decade, we have handled no less than a hundred cases involving sexual assault of a child and we spend a little bit of our soul every time we represent somebody that is accused of this because of how difficult it is for them. We want to win for our clients, when you look at the percentages in terms of our success rate at Stradley, Chernoff, and Alford the vast majority of the time, everything ends up okay. Many times we have come to understand that people have been lumped into this broad category of sex offenders, what we have to realize and what we make sure our clients understand is the state has to prove these charges beyond a reasonable doubt. Many, many times they are not able to do that. When a person is going through the process of going to court or being investigated for sexual assault of a child, which is very difficult time for them, we do everything we can to walk them through the process, to talk our clients down so that they understand that they are going to get through it. We have a ninety percent success rate in the trial of these cases. |
