I am attorney Ed Chernoff. For over 35 years, I have practiced criminal law in state and federal courts in Houston and throughout the country. My legal experience includes having served as a top prosecutor in the Harris County District Attorney’s office, where I gained unique experience and insight into how prosecutors prepare and pursue criminal charges. But in 1991, I decided to leave the DA’s office and begin representing people accused of committing crimes. Since then, I’ve developed a reputation in Texas and nationwide as a smart, tough lawyer who is prepared to fight tenaciously for my clients’ interests. I have also been recommended for and received Board Certification Criminal Law from the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, which I have maintained since 1995. Over the years, I’ve tried more than 150 cases before juries and have a proven record of success, including one year in which I won every single case I tried.
